Complex and Fragile Templates
Prior to implementing Vena, McWhinney’s financial forecasting process was bogged down by an eight-tab Excel template filled with more than 30 content blocks across multiple sections. The file was cumbersome, slow, and prone to breakage, resulting in frustration for users and heavy support needs from the analytics team.
Lack of Usability and Scalability
Updating or modifying the template was not intuitive for end users. As a result, the analytics team frequently served as de facto technical support, leaving less time for strategic financial planning.
